ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ക്ക് കാര്യക്ഷമമായ നിയമസഹായം ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് പ്രവാസി ലീഗല്‍ സെല്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് നിവേദനം നല്‍കി. വിദേശരാജ്യത്ത് മൂന്ന് ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ വധശിക്ഷക്ക് വിധേയരായ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് ഈ ആവശ്യമുന്നയിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിവേദനം സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. അര്‍ഹരായ എല്ലാ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പൗരന്മാര്‍ക്കും സൗജന്യ നിയമ സഹായം ഉറപ്പുവരുത്താന്‍ ലീഗല്‍ സര്‍വീസ് അതോറിറ്റീസ് ആക്ട് വ്യവസ്ഥ ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ഈ ആനുകൂല്യം വിദേശത്തുള്ള ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ക്കും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തണമെന്നുമാണ് നിവേദനത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആവശ്യം.

അടുത്തിടെ വിദേശ രാജ്യത്ത് ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ വധശിക്ഷക്ക് വിധേയരായി ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ശേഷമാണ് ഈ വിവരം ഡല്‍ഹി ഹൈക്കോടതി മുഖേന കുടുംബമറിയുന്നത് തന്നെ. കാര്യക്ഷമമായ നിയമസഹായം വിദേശ ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ക്ക് കിട്ടുന്നില്ല എന്നുള്ളതിന് ഉത്തമഉദാഹരണമാണ് ഈ സംഭവം എന്ന് പ്രവാസി ലീഗല്‍ സെല്‍ ഗ്ളോബല്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് അഡ്വ. ജോസ് എബ്രഹാം നിവേദനത്തില്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
